George is a Town Councillor representing Winthorpe Ward and serves on Full Council, Management Committee (Vice Chairman), Burial Ground Steering Group, Casino working Group, ELDC/STC Liaison Working Group, Southern Foreshore Partnership Working Group, Statutory Discipline & Grievance Panel, Publicity (Chairman), Best Value Committee (Vice Chairman) and Planning.

George is the Town Council representative on the Crime & Disorder Panel, Skegness Community Action Group and Winthorpe Residents & Youth Association.

George is the Branch Chairman of Skegness Labour Party.
