Neil is a Town and District Councillor, representing Winthorpe Ward.

He serves on the Full Council, Management Committee, Burial Ground Steering Group, Civic Duties, Foreshore Negotiations Working Group, Grants Working Group, Honours Working Group, Tree Management & Parish Paths, Publicity Committee, Risk Assessment and Statutory Discipline & Grievance Panel.

Neil is currently Mayor.

Neil is also a District Councillor, representing Winthorpe Ward.
