Terry is a Town Councillor representing Seacroft Ward and serves on Full Council, ELDC/STC Liaison Group, Management Committee, Best Value, Burial ground Steering Group, Foreshore Negotiations Working Group, Publicity, Street Scene Working Group, Tree Management & Parish Paths Partnership (Chairman) and Planning.

Terry is the Town Council representative on Friends of Church Farm Museum, Extreme Sports Association and the Gibraltar Point Joint Advisory Committee.
